Lions Midgets Wingham Lions Club Midgets' coach Bob Pegg has a very short time to find whatever it's going to take to give his club its wake-up call for this weekend's tournament in Harriston. The Midgets played a 'sleeper' in Ripley last Tuesday as they dropped a 4-0 decision to a team they had beaten 5-3 less than a week and a half earlier. Ripley built up a 2-0 first period lead on goals about five minutes apart. The first was a 30 -footer that wound its way around a couple of players and into the net. The second was a break away roofed by Ripley's B.J. Crorishaw over goaltender Scott `Allen's trap- per. The home team scored two more in the second period - the second on a power play in the dy- ing minutesof the frame. Coach Pegg did some line - juggling, starting late in the sec- ond period, to try to light some sort of offensive fire for the Mid- gets. But, with only nine skaters to work with, he didn't have a whole lot of flexibility. However, the line -juggling did create at least some action in the Ripley end. By that time, it was too little, too late. And even with the increased action, the Midgets were unable tb solve Ripley goal - tender Dean Funston, and ended up empty-handed on the score- sheet. The Midgets are .scheduled to wrap up the 1994-95 season with ✓action in the annual Marion) tournament, MMI>irch 18.19, QNT SENIC}R. Games C The Ontario Senior Games are coming upon us very quickly.
