A bonspiel has been held every weekend during the month. The annual Wingham women's bon - spiel was held this past weekend, with 16 foursomes taking part. The Sue Fair foursome of Wingham took top honors in the first draw with the Isobel Love rink from Owen Sound winning the second draw. Members of the Fair rink in- cluded skip Fair, Debbie Hopper, Joanne Robinson, and Karen Mof- fatt. The Belgrave Mixed bonspiel HORSESHOES Thursday, Feb. 16 'A° Division Harold Carter and Al MacKenzie were first in the single round 40 - point. game 'A' division on Feb. 16 with three wins and +34. Jack Arnold and Hank Carter were second with three wins and +31, and Don Frook and Skip Rog- ers were third with three wins and +15. Jim Nelson and Eric Hewitt were fourth with one win and +64. Leon Russell and Rick Bross were fifth with zero wins and +83. 'B' Division Harold Maize and Glen Casemore were first in the single round 30 - point game 'B' division with four wins and +23. John Schaus and Ralph Koopmans were second with four wins and +14. Don Carter and Terry Bross were third with two wins and +61. Fourth place went to Lynn Hewitt and Peter deGroot with two wins and +43, and fifth place was taken by Ivan Gard- ner and Wilf Townes with two wins and +40. Lorne Kuntz and Dan Stacey were sixth with one win and +78. Sunday, Feb. 19 Doug Vanderwoude and Lorne Hamilton were first in the single 30 - point game competition on Feb. 19 with six wins and +28. Hank Carter and Andy St. Mane were second with five wins and +40_ Wayne Woods and Peter Stacey were third with four wins and +64, Glen Casemore and Barry D'Arcey were fourth with four wins and +62, and John Schaus and Dawn Marie Schaus were fifth with four wins and +60. Jo -Ann Woods and Barry Hogg were sixth with three wins and +94. Grant Day and Bruce Casemore were seventh with two wins and +94, and Danny Stacey and Brian Metcalfe were eighth with zero wins and +111. B Division Harold Maize and Bob Gavreluk were first in the single round 30 point game B' division with five wins and +24. Archie Weiner and Wilf Townes were second with five wins and +9. Doug Hinsperger and Bob Burr were third with four wins and +53. Harvey Bolton and Doug Vander- Woude were fourth with four wins and +41. Rai Bolton and Dave Gol- ley were fifth with two wins and +68. The John Nixon rink took first place honors in the first draw, sponsored by the Belgrave Co-op. The rink had three wins and were +9. Members off the rink were skip John Nixon, third Patty Nixon, second Carmen Nixon, and lead Wilma Nixon. Winning the second draw, spon- sored by Howson and Howson, was the Fred Meier rink. They had three wins and were +12. Rink members were skip Fred Meier, third Linda Meier, second Murray McNichol, and Lead Colleen McNichol. The annual Sweetheart bonspiel ONTARIO WED SOAK MICHr, r month at curling club was held Feb. 11-12 with 24 rinks taking part. The Aarte deVos rink took the overall title with three wins and 48.75 points. The foursome of skip Aarte deVos, third Greta de- Vos, second Bruce Pewtress, and lead Sylvia Pewtress also won the second draw. Taking top honors in the first draw was the Bill Haines rink, with one win, two ties and 44.5 points. Members of the rink were skip Haines, third Lynn Gravid, second Niel Edgar, and lead Kim Edgar. Top honors in the third draw went to the Ted Robbins rink from PHOTO Brampton. They had three wins and 48 points. Rink members were skip Robbins, third Doris deHu- eck, second Ron Piesanan, and lead Lynn Piesanan. The month started off with the Country Men's bonspiel on Feb. 4. Winning the first draw, spon- sored by Agre Farms was the Bill Tolton rink with three wins and +12. Members of the rink were skip Bill Tolton, third Tim Tolton, second Alan deVos, and lead Greg deVos. The second draw, sponsored by John Nixon Insurance, was won by the Don Hawkins rink with three wins and +11. Members of HE ALTH the foursome were skip Don Haw- kins, third Steve McKague, second Dave Hawkins, and lead Arthur McKague. The Wingham Men's bonspiel will be played March 18 and the Country Mixed bonspiel, original= ly set for Jan.15, will take place March 26.
