The Bulls started the weeke on a successful note aS they scor a 3-2 decision over the Walkers B lackhawks. Things got off to a quick s Sunday as Peter Ryter was sent on a break away with a pass fro Murray Kaye, with just 16 secon gone in the game. Ryter dek Hanover netminder Jeff Gole, an then tucked the puck under th sliding goalie. The game was just 30 second old when the Barons evened th score. Jason Howes tallied the ty ing marker as he deflected a sho from the point over the shoulder o Brussels goalie Ryan Fisk. Both teams enjoyed good scor ing chances throughout the firs period, but goalies Fisk for Brus sets and Golc for Hanover came up with the big saves. There was no more scoring until the 17:30 mark of the second peri- od when Shawn Widmeycr redi- rected a shot past Fisk on the short side. The Barons went ahead 3-1 in the third period 'as Greg Arm- strong did the scoring. Hanover's Paul Harrington took a five-minute checking from be- hind penalty with about eight min- utes remaining in the third period but the Bulls were unable to take advantage of the power play. Nate Bender finally got the Bulls back to within One, with 2:41 remaining in the game. The Bulls pulled their goalie in the final minute, for the extra at- tacker; but were unable to get the equalizer. Tim Beyer received an assist on one of the two Western Junior 'C' Hockey League all-stars as they fell 20-2 to the Junior 'B' Stratford Cullitons on Saturday in Kincar- dine.
