Blyth won the team award for
least penalty minutes. Jan Hein -
miller presented the most -sports-
manlike team award to Blyth.
A bicycle draw,'sponsored by the
mothers' auxiliary, was won by
Peter Quennell.
The B1 consolation champi-
onship was won by Port Elgin 4-1
over Listowel and the B2champi-
onship was won by Clinton. •
Kincardine 6, Mount Forest 1
In the first game of the tourna-
ment, Kincardine easily defeated
Mount Forest. Reid Edmond scored
a pair 50 seconds apart early in the
third period to break the 1-1 dead-
lock. Kincardine didn't look back as
it scored three more to earn the
win. Hanover 6. Liissewei 4

Seaforth 3, Port Elgin 2
Last year's defending champi-
ons, Seaforth, came into the tourna-
ment as early favorites. But, much
to their surprise, Port Elgin put up
a real battle and almost upset them.
Port Elgin scored midway through
the second to take •a 1-0 lead by the
end of the period.
They increased it to 2-0 before
Seaforth exploded for three goals
late in the third. Shawn Anstett
scored the winner.
New Hamburg 6, Walkerton 3
New Hamburg, a new entry in
the tournament, played a solid
game to handily defeat Walkerton.
Six different players .figured in the
score. New Hamburg maintained a
comfortable lead throughout the
entire game. Henhoeffer scored a
pair and assisted on three others.
Howick 4, F.lma-Logan 2
In B2 play, Howick easily won
over Elma-Logan. Howick had
established a four -goal lead before
Elma-Logan rallied with a pair late
in the third. Tyler Gallaher led the
attack with- a pair, while Devon a
Conner and Troy Dosman added
Ripley 2, Blyth 1 •
In a low -scoring match, Ripley
narrowly defeated a determined
Blyth team by a score of 2-1. Ripley
took the early lead on a goal by
Jason Wylds. Jason McDougall tied
the score midway through the s c
ond, while Joel Armstrong potted
the winner for Ripley late in the
second.
The teams skated to a scoreless
tie in the third period,
Elora 15, Wingham 2
Elora, a new tournament entry,
totally dominated the host squad.
Elora built up a 15-0 lead before
Steve Mowbray and Arley Pautler
finally scored for Wingham.
Jeremy Walser scored five goals
and assisted on three others to lead
the Elora attack.
Durham 7, Clinton 1
Durham easily defeated the visit-
ing Clinton team. Clinton took the
early lead, but Durham stormed
back David Galbraith, son of Wing -
ham native -Mac Galbraith, scored a
hat trick and added an assist.

Listowel 7, Mount Forest 2
Listowel advanced to the Bl con-
solation as it' handily defeated its
opposition from Mount. Forest.

Port Elgin 4, Walkerton 2
In a closely -contested match, Port
Elgin narrowly edged Walkerton 4-
2. It was nice to see Mr. and Mrs.
Mike Willie of town cheering on
their two grandsons. Jason Hatt of
Walkerton scored a pair of goals in
a losing cause.
Hanover 2, Kincardine 0
Hanover won the right to
advance to the 131 final by downing
their league rivals, Kincardine.
Matthew Pickard scored the win-
ning goal late in the first period and
Kyle Magwood added the insur-
ance marker. -
New Hamburg 3, Seaforth 2
New Hamburg played the role of
spoiler and took away Seaforth's
chance to advance to the North
American championships in Sarnia
by virtue of a 3-2 overtime win over
the defending champions, Seaforth.
Seaforth jumped into an early
two -goal lead. However, New
Hamburg fought back to tie the
scone at the end of regulation time.
Chris McPhee potted the winner
early in the overtime period to
advance the team to the Bl final
against Hanover.
Ripley 5, Howick 1
Ripley surprised the Howick
squad as they jumped into a first
period 4-0 lead Bath teams wei,
held scoreless in the second and
they traded goals in the third:
With the win, Ripley advanced to
the B2 championship final. Joel
Armstrong scored a pair for Ripley,
while Devon Conner tallied for
Howick •
Jim 6, Elora 5
An exciting, high -scoring game
between Durham and Elora saw the
Iead -change back and forth several
times and resulted in an overtime

Durham fought back from a 5-3
deficit tette the score witha minute
left in regulation time. George
Ramersz notched the winner and
also added a single. Chris Wilson
scored a pair for Elora. By virtue of
the win, Durham advanced to the
B2 championship against. Ripley.
Blyth 6, ElmaLogan 1
Blyth advanced to the B2 conso-
lation final as it easily handfed
Elora -Logan by a score of 6-1.
McDougall led the Blyth scoring
parade with a hat trick.
Clinton 10, Wingham 2
Three Clinton players each
scored a pair of. goals en route to
the easy victory over Wingham.
Trevor Buruma, Chad Chipchase
and Joe McDonald were the marks-
men. David Laing scored a pair for
the hometown team. With the win,
Clinton advanced to the B2 consola-
tion
onsolation final.
New Hamburg 4, Hanover 4
New Hamburg captured the Bl
c3 ampiunship as it shut out the
Hanover squad. The hero of the
game was New Hamburg's Henho-
effer, who 'scored a hat trick. With
the win, New Hamburg advanced
to the Championship final against
Ripley.

Beigrave
win first game
The Belgrave Tyke team recorded
its first win of the season Dec. 16
when the squad downed Brussels
3-1.
Tim Robinson scored all three
Belgrave markers and goalie Justin
Black chaulked up his first win in
net.
Earlier this month, Belgrave was
downed 5-2 by Clinton. Once again,
Robinson accounted for both Bel -
grave goals and was assisted by
Curtis Knight on his second mark-
er.
