A. Douglas Campbell of RIZ 3,
Blyth, died Thursday, Dec. 7, at
Wingham and District Hospital fol-
lowing a brief illness.
Mr. Campbell was born in East
Wawanosh Township 82 years ago
and lived his entire life in the town-
ship, taking part in many commu-
nity activities. He was on the town-
ship school board and involved in
the Federation of Agriculture. He
was also active in church work, was
an honorary deacon of the Huron
Missionary Chapel in Auburn, an
honor member of the Gideons,
secretary for the provincial board of
trustees of the Church of God in
Ontario and served on the South
Huron board of Youth for Christ for
many years.
He married the former Gladys L.

The couple farmed in East
Wawanosh before their retirement.
Surviving, betides his wife, are
four sons; John and his wife, Betty,
Welland; Ralph and Nancy, James
and Marilyn and Eric, all of RR 3,
Blyth. Also surviving are eight
grandchildren: Laura and Doug;
Heather, Cheryl and Kevin; Robbie,
Steven and Melissa. He was prede-
ceased by a sister, Winnifred Camp-
bell (1954) and a brother, James
Howard Campbell (1979).
The funeral service was held Dec.
9 at the Tasker Chapel of the Beat-
tie -Falconer Funeral Home, Blyth,
conducted by Rev. James H. Carne
of the Huron Missionary Chapel,
Auburn, where Mr. Campbell was a
member. Interment was in Blyth
Union Cemetery,

Ryan, of Wingham joyfully

born Dec. 8 at Wingham and Dis-
trict Hospital, weighing eight
pounds, four ounces. Proud grand-
mothers are Elaine Rosekat and
Dorothy Montgomery

the birth of their son, Tyler John,
seven pounds, six ounces, on Dec. 8
at St. Joseph's Hospital, London. A
brother for Nicole; grandson for
Jack and Janet Brophy, Sharon and
Roy Stewart.
GARLAND—Elwin and Linda of
RR 2, Bluevale, welcome with love
a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth; nine
pounds, three ounces, born Dec. 12
at Wmgham and District Hospital.
A sister for Nathan, Andrew and
Rachel.
ROOT—Ronald and Debra, RR
4, Brussels, proudly announce the
birth of their . third daughter,
Stephanie, Dec. 13 at Wingham and
District Hospital. The new family
member is a sister for Tammy and
Lisa and weighed seven pounds,
one ounce.
