Aridre The Women's Missionary Society of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church held its Christmas meeting Dec. 5 in the upper room. Mrs. Hazel Bateman and Mrs. Grace Ford were in charge of the meeting. Mrs. Bateman opened the meet- ing with a poem, .'The First Gift", followed by a hymn. Mrs. Ford read a poem, "That Holy Night". Scripture was read by Mrs. Bate- man who also gave a meditation from Glad Tidings. Following the singing of another hymn, Mrs. Bateman closed the meditation with scripture and Mrs. Ford led in prayer. Miss Merle Wilson gave a read- ing on Martin Luther and Mrs. Ford played a medley of Christmas car- ols. Mrs. Annie Conn and Mrs. Jessie Lapp received the offering which was dedicated by Mrs. Ger- tie Tiffin. Miss Wilson presided at the piano for the meeting. President Mrs. Shirley Donaldson conducted the business, secretary Mrs. Marjorie Wall read the min- utes, correspondence and roll call and treasurer Mrs. Bateman gave her report. Donations were made to Ewart College and Scott Mission. The closing prayer was given by Mrs. Donaldson. Hostesses were Mrs. Wall and Mrs. Olive McKay.
