Bridesmaids were Brenda beth McLean and Thomas William Perry -Bowden, the .groom's sister, of Holland Landing and Jenny McLean, the bride's niece, of Wrox- eter. The groom's niece, Stephanie Dodson of Uxbridge, was flower girl. The senior attendants wore cocktail -length dresses of Mae satin. Stephanie wore a pale yellow taffe- ta long gown trimmed with lace and ruffles. She carried a basket of yellow and white gladioli, enhanced with ivy, fern and baby's breatii. The others carried pink, lilac and white arrangements of gladioli, with ivy and fern. Bruce Dodson of Uxbridge was best man at the wedding of his friend and brother-irt-law. Ushers were Ted Perry Brampton, brother of the groom and Don McLean, Wingham, brother of the bride. A dinner and reception were held at the Wroxeter Town Hall were guests were received by the wed- ding party and the parents. Perry of Wroxeter were joined in holy matrimony. Their marriage vows were exchanged in Wroxeter United Church where Diane received her childhood spiritual training. Her family has been active church Members there for genera- tions. Diane is the daughter of Edna McLean, Wingham, and the late William John McLean. Tom is the son of Bill\ and Louise Perry of Aurora. Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiated for the candlelight double -ring ceremo- ny, his first wedding since being ordained. Organist was Leone Kaster and Soloists were Gordon Kaster and Byron Ballagh. The bride was given in marriage by her oldest brother, Dale McLean of Bluevale. The bride's wedding gown was full-length white silk sheer, accent- ed with pearls and lace and lined with taffeta. It featured fitted bodice, high neckline -and full circu- lar skirt with cathedral train. Her headpiecoaertoto a V of pearls at the- forehead, had a flower at the side and held a silk veil. She carried a bouquet of. white gladioli, set with ivy, fern, stephanotis and baby's breath. Special guests at the wedding were the groom's mother's cousins from England. Upon adjournment to the com- munity hall, Edna MacTavish extended a warm welcome to everyone. She and Alex, along with Stewart and Evelyn McLennan, Edith Garniss and Jean Mathers had planned an evening of joyful and varied entertahunent. The group was first invited to participate in nine rounds of court whist, for which prizes were distributed to Mary Peacock, Mil- ton Boyd, Winnie Boyd, Ross Tur- vey, Elaine Mundell and Wes Paulin. Program numbers consisted of readings, musical contributions, and a presentation of Front Page Challenge. Douglas Madge said grace and the meeting opened with a hymn, Members' Prayer and the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. Johnston wad a meditation from Living Mes- sage, "A Chance To Begin Anew". Mrs. Procter read scripture and the roll call was "My Christmas Prepa- rations". The study, on the vision of Isaiah, was led by Mrs. Alex Nethery. Trea- surer Mrs. Harold Jardin reported a very successful baaaar and tea, as well as the recent catering.
