respects at The McBurney Funeral
Horne, Wingham, until Wednesday,
Oct. 18, when ;service was conduct_
ed at 1:30 by RevJohn P. Val:airy,
assisted by Rev Douglas Madge.
Interment followed in Wingham
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Nethery,
George Whitby, Klaus Jorritsma, .
George Romanik, Roy Dawson and
Doug Conley. Floral tributes were
carried by Jack Porterfield, Michael
Woods and Bob Bitton.

Fred Steward and Mr. and Mrs. Bill
VanDongen, all of London. Also
honored to be a part of the special
occasion were grandchildren from
Kitchener, Teeswater, Kincardine
and Toronto and Mr. Swanson's
nephews and niece, Bill and Phyllis
Bain of Wmgharn, Jim and Dorothy
Bain, Lucknow and Jean (Bain) and
Ken Horton of the Clifford area.
Sunday phone calls from an aunt
in Detroit, a sister in Virginia and a
cousin in Toronto added to the joy-
ous occasion.
Mr. and Mrs. Swanson are long-
time residents of Wingham. He was
a fireman for more than 20 years
and also worked as an auxiliary
policeman.

A number of people attended the
open house at the new house in
Wroxeter on Oct. 15. Mrs. Glenn
McMichael was the winner of the
lucky draw, a beautiful spoon rack
courtesy of Wroxeter Wood Prod-
ucts. Everyone enjoyed the tour
and the refreshments afterward.
Crawford and Gary Gihron were
guests of their father, 47erclon Gib-
son, over the weelcend.
Clarence Clement .is still a patient
in Wingham and District Hospital.
We hope his health soon will
improve.
