Tervit-MacDonald vows
exchanged at St. Andrew's
Marriage vows were exchanged
by Sally MacDonald and Kevin Ter-
vit, both of Shelburne, during a col-
orful ceremony in St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, Wingham, on
Saturday, Sept. 2. Rev. John Vaudry
officiated for the double -ring cere-
mony which was performed amid
an altar setting of gladioli and lilies.
White and green fans marked the
guest pews.
Sally is the daughter of Alex and
Betty MacDonald of Wingham and
parents of the groom are John and
Jean Tervit, also of Wingham. Mr.
MacDonald gave his daughter in
marriage. Special music was pro-
vided by piper Charles Procter,
Jackie West of Kitchener and John
Brent.
The bride was preceded down
the aisle by iter three sisters, Bennie
Daigle of Orangeville, who was the
honor attendant, Christine Small of
Stratford and Cindy Skinn of Wing -
ham, and a close friend, Pam
Cameron of Wingham. They wore
street -length teal green satin dress-
es with open backs and large back
bows. They carried bouquets of yel-
low gladioli.
A niece of the bride, Sarali Small
of Stratford, was flower girl and
another niece, Shelley Skinn of
Wingham, was_a special attendant,

Rev. and Mrs. Rod Lamb of Pais-
ley were Saturday visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. George Armstrong. Mrs.
Armstrong visited last week with
her son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Parry and family of
Bright.
Mrs. Norma Rintoul, Mrs. Mac
Cardiff of Brussels, Mrs. Ann Ober-
holtzer and two friends of Kitchen-
er spent last weekend at Amhearst,
New York. On Sunday evening, Mr.
and Mrs. Cardiff, Mrs. Rintoul and
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Oberholtzer and
family were supper guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Lyle Oberholtzer of .Kitch-
ener.
Twenty tables at shoot party
Twenty tables were in play at the
Wingham Legion Hall Monday
night.
Helen Stonehouse had the high
pink card and Irlma Edgar the high.
white card. Ethel Gaunt had the
most shoots. Margaret Smith had
the low pink card; Don Courtney
the low white card.
Draw prizes were awarded to
Bob Fraser, Barbara Carbert, Ruby
Hanna, Lloyd Montgomery and
Sara Anstett.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gaunt, Jen-
nifer and Graeme of Chatham, vis-
ited last weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. William Purdon and with Mr.
and Mrs. Russel Gaunt of Wing -
ham.
Mrs. Grace Corrin of London vis-
ited last Wednesday with Mildred
McClenaghan.

Mrs. Archie Purdon and Mrs. Don

having the honor of leghting the
candles. They wore white eyelet
ankle -length dresses with tartan
cummerbunds.
For her special day, the bride
chose a floor -length gown of white
satin with lace and sequins. The
dress was styled with long sleeves,
V neckline and attached train. She
carried a bouquet of white gladioli
and lilies.
Ken Tervit of Strathroywas his
brother's best man and users were
three friends, Bill Ohm of Owen
Sound, Robert Alton of Wingham
and Ron Cooper, Port Elgin. The
bride's nephew, Mark Skinn of
Wingham, was bearer of the two
rings.
Guests from Kincardine, Weston,
Chatham, Windsor, London,
Orangeville, King City, Belgrave,
Shelburne, Gorrie, Wroxeter and
Wingham attended the reception at
the Teeswater-Culross Complex.
They were greeted by the bride's
mother who wore a periwinkle blue
street -length dress and the mother
of the groom who chose a fuchsia
street -length dress. Both ensembles
were complemented by corsages of
white roses.
Following a wedding trip to
Peterborough, the couple is resid-
ing in Shelburne. Honored guest at
the wedding was the groom's
grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Cottrill of
Tiverton.
