The Wingham Optimist Novices are getting ready for their upcom- ing season, and according to early indications, the group is ready for action. This year's team will be directed by Tom Irwin as head coach, assist- ed by Bert Cameron and Jim Inwood. With 22 players registered in this year's Novice program, Wingham will have two teams competing in two divisions, thus providing plen- ty of ice time for all the players involved. However, there is still room for more players. If you were born in 1980 or 1981 and are inter- ested in playing hockey this year, please contact Jim Inwood at 357- 3086. Also some additional coaches will be necessary when the two teams are formed and anyone inter- ested in sharing some time should contact John Bateson at 357-3096. The boys competed in four tour- naments, were finalists at New Hamburg and Guelph, division finalists at Stratford and consola- tion winners at Goderich.
