DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION
Working with the Parks, Recreation and Community Centres Commit-
tee, and responsible to Town Council, this Department Head is a mem-
ber of the team which implements Council's policies and programs.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Parks and Recreation shall be responsible for planning;
encouraging; initiating; directing; supervising programs, facilities and
personnel; and evaluating comprehensive community programs to
provide year-round recreational, leisure and cultural services for all
residents.
Summary of.Duties:
• Scheduling, supervision and development of parks and recreation
facilities, including arena, swimming pool, tennis courts, ball
diamonds, parks and trailer parks.
• Development and implementation of policies and programs relating to
lelnure end -,cultural programs and services for the Town.
• Preparation and monitorin of annual budgets.
• Preparation and presentation of monthly reports to Council.
