board meeting, Felice Chief Robert :e,
Wittig said this summer SAW ,a
marked increase in the wither
trespassing incidents at therrIck -
Like the "hobos" of days -gone -
by, these ireople are sleeping in the
park and even lighting fires,
according to the chief's report. Gen-
erally, they are using the park
between the hours of 1. and 6 a.m.
Mr. Wittig suggests that some
control regulations may have -to be
developed at the council level, but
first the commission should pro-
vide its input into what is becoming
a problem in several local commu-
nities.
1 -le adds that Canada's vagrancy
law was repealed several years ago
and therefore cannot be fallen back
upon.
The police board will discuss the
matter more fully at a later meet-
ing.
Hullett to host

triever Club is hosting the Grand
National Retriever Trails for 1989 at

This competition is held yearly
and attracts competitors from all

United States.
It is expected that 85 of the "top
dogs" will be involved in the com-
petition over the course of the five
days, Sept. 19 to 24.
No birds are killed, nor is arty
live game used in these competi-
tions. This is the first time the event
has been held here.
For the safety of contestants and
spectators, ample off-road parking
is provided within the wildlife area.
