The Shoppers' Drug Mart -spon-
sored Bluevale Bares fought hard
last week, but came up short losing
two close games to Brown's Bud-
dies in the 'A' division playoffs.
On Monday night in Bluevale,
the Bares were down seven runs
until the third inning when they
desperately tried to over -power the
Buddies, but only got three runs in
and three more in the sixth to end
the match at 8-6.
In Trowbridge last Thursday
night, the Bares kept the game close
throughout. The Bares' first two
, batters scored and the team tried to
keep on top- of the Buddies. How-
ever, Brown's came back as strong
as ever with two homeruns and
girls on base both times,
• The Bares played some great -ball,
but couldn't capitalize on the girls
left on base — too little too late. The
Thursday match -up ended at 6-4.
The next playoff match is tonight,
Tuesday, at 8:30 in Bluevale.
