Blyth Festival is seekin_g, an Administrative Intern under an Ontario
MCC Arts Management Training Programme grant. The ideal candi-
date will be ready to relocate to Blyth, be willing to work odd hours and
be able to travel.
The trainee will receive work experience and professional training
opportunities in:
General Accounting; preparing grant applications arid follow-
up reporting; tour booking and contract negotiations; Box Of-
fice and Front -of -House management; publicity, promotion,
public and Board relations; fundraising; and general arts
management techniques.
Our organization is unique In that we are not only producers but also
presenters. We produce a 14 -week summer season of new Canadian
plays, present an Adult and Children's series off-season in the
fall/spring, and offer workshops through the Gallery and Community
Arts Programming Committees. We own facilities and rent facilities for
rehearsals and some perforMances.
Additional opportunities for professional development will be offered
as they arise.
The position will commence before the middle of September 1989.
