Once again it has been a. busy
and active week for the day centre.
With so many activities planned, I
know my last days here in August
will just fly by.
Recently we had the summer
day -camp kids visit with us in the
afternoons. Everyone enjoyed
bingo and parachute games, fol-
lowed up with refreshments.
This past week has had many
more activities. Lee Bray from
Hanging By A Thread showed us
her talents by demonstrating how
to macrame lawn chairs.
Last Thursday we ventured to
the "Twin Cities" to visit the Wood-
land Historical Park, home of
William Lyon MacKenzie. After a
noon meal at theStone Crock
Restaurant in Elmira': we visited the
Waterloo Farmers' Market.
A foot clinic has been scheduled
for Aug. 17. Anyone wanting an
appointment please call the centre
at 357-1440 or 357-1445.
In closing, for those who are in
the process of planning your holi-
days, remember: "If you look like
your passport photo, in all proba-
bility you need the journey!"
Have a good week.
