the ,discus, her throw of 34.96
Metres earned her the gold -and her
11.43m shot-put effort did as well.
These performances rank 4er first
in Ontario in both events and there-
fore in an excellent position to ad.
vance to the Canadian•Legion meet.
Bantam Natascha Muscheid, fin-
ished second in the 200m with a
time of 27.85 seconds. She was
fourth in the long jump and sixth in
the 400m with a time of 1:02.9 min-
utes.
Carolyn Pike was fifth in the shot
put, 6.68m and third in the discus,
21.28m.
Other Bantam competitors in-
cluded:
—Christy Armstrong, seventh in
the `shot-put, 6.31m;
—Mike MacKay, first in the pole
vault and second in the 300m hur-
dles, 44.46 sec.;

Maitland Athletics Track and Field
Club has just been selected to the
Ontario Canada Games Twain and
will represent the province at the
Canada Summer Games in Saska-
toon on Aug. 13 to 19.
To earn her position on the team,
• 18 -year-old Sakasov had to win the
discus event at the Canada Summer
Games trials held Saturday and
Sunday at Tillsonburg.

The Shoppers' Drug Mart -spon-
sored Bluevale Bares are back to
their winning ways once again.
•Last Monday night the Bares
downed Brussels 12-10. Both teams
were hitting well and it proved to
be an evenly -matched game all the
way.
Last Wednesday evening, the
Bares doubled Belgrave 14-7. The
Bares had their big inning in the
second, scoring 10 runs. Last
week's winners were Rod Inglis,
Elgin Adams, Wayne Schneider and
