Our heartfelt thanks to all the
friends, relatives and neighbors for
their deeds of kindness at the time of
our loss of a loving husband, father
and grandfather, Oscar. We thank
the ambulance attendants Reg and
Bob, Dr. McGregor, John Kennedy,
Father Bennett, Jean MacDonald
and all who brought food to our
homes, visited, sent cards, dona-
tions to the Sacred Heart building
fund, mass offerings, floral tributes,
assistance offered and to the CWL
and Ladies Auxiliary of the Wing -
ham Legion for a delicious luncheon
following the funeral. A special
thank you to Marylin Elgie, the 3rd
and 4th degree Knights of Columbus,
Sacred Heart Choir, Father Stan
Soltysik and Father Michael Down-
ey for the beautiful funeral service,
and to Doug McBurney and Doug
Layton for the loving support during
our time of grief. We shall never for-
get the generosity of all.

Nethery-We would like to thank
the Blyth Fire Department, neigh-
bors, ambulance drivers and emer-
gency staff of Wingham and District

our husband, father, brother and
uncle. Thanks to your fast action and
care he is coming along fine. He has
been transferred from Victoria Hos-
pital, London to Clinton Public Hos-
pital. Special thanks to Gordon and
Ruth for coming home and support-
ing us through this time.

ROBERTS-David Roberts,
beloved infant son of Rev. Robert J.
and Karen Roberts of Dungannon,
passed away at St. Joseph's Hospi-
tal, London, on his birthdate, June
16, 1989. He was the dear brother of
Chad, Jeremy, Tammy and Robbie;
grandson of Peter and Elnora
Roberts and Vivienne Earl; prede-
ceased by his grandfather, Ken Earl.
Rev. John G. Roberts will conduct a
private family service in Dungan-
non Cemetery.

Wingham man
moiirns the death
of his father .,
A Wingham man is this week
mourning the passing of his father.
Stewart Simmons, 83, of 105 Nor-
man St., Stratford, died Friday, June
9, at Stratford General Hospital.
Born in Howick Township, Mr.
Simmons wasa'tson of the late
Charles Simmons and the former
Sarah Elizabeth Underwood. He
had been a resident of Stratford and
area for the past 25 years. During
the Second World War, he served
overseas with the Royal Canadian
Army Service Corps. He was a
member of the Royal Canadian
Legion, Branch 8, Stratford.
Surviving are three sons, Wesley
of Wingham, Joe of Sarnia and
Emerson, London; four daughters,
J. Elizabeth Flewelling of Guelph,
Helen Neff of Kitchener, Shirley
Wise of Walkerton and Shelda Scha-
effer, Stratford; a sister, Mrs. Mar-
garet Porter of Sardis, B.C.; a friend,
Gladys Rohfrietsch of Stratford; 21
grandchildren and 20 great-grand-
children. He was predeceased by
one son, Charles Andrew, brothers
and a sister.
There was no funeral home visi-
tation or service. The ,body was
bequeathed to the School of Anato-
my, University of Western Ontario.
As expressions of sympathy, dona-
tions may be made to the Stratford
General Hospital Building Fund or
the charity of one's choice, through
the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430
Huron St., Stratford N5A 5T7.
