ins' 50th wedding anniversary cele-
bration were Mr, and Mrs. Joseph
Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Gravelle of Aylmer, Quebec; Mrs,
Zella Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. John
Binkley and Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Dalente, all of Hamilton.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Graham
attended the first communion of
their granddaughter, Genevieve, on
Sunday at Monsignor Haller School
Church. There were 47 boys and
girls entering into Holy Commu-
nion.

The Lions held a draw on a gas
barbecue on Thursday. Bob Steffen
of Wingham was the winner.

who gave a very interesting COM-
mentary as she showedslides of
Australia and New Zealand. She
told of the lovely flowers, animals
and trees, with pictures of the out-
back where they travelled 600 miles
in a small plane to deliver mail
which goes once a week. The mem-
bers also saw flocks of sheep and
the shearAng procedure.
Mrs. Underwood said the Great
Barrier Reef and the outback were
the outstanding highlights of their
trip. Mrs. Moffatt thanked Mrs.
Underwood on behalf of the ladies
and presented her with a gift of
appreciation.
Mrs. Alex MacTavish read from,,
the 115th chapter of Psalms, with
comments telling members to "love
our sisters and listen to our chil-
dren". Prayer was given by Mrs.
Joe Walker. Eleven ladies answered
the roll call by naming a flower in a
Bible verse.
Business included a discussion of
Camp Kintail day trip for the chil-
dren and a thank -you card from
Flora Willitts. Mrs. Moffatt gave the
treasurer's report in the absence of
Mrs. Jenkins. The offering was
accepted, with prayer by Mrs. Gol-
ley
The meeting closed with a hymn
and prayer. Mrs. MacTavish, Mrs.
Walker and Mrs. Moffatt served
lunch during a social time.
WI attends
Hoy Revue
Whitechurch—The Whitechurch
Women's Institute took a bus trip
instead of holding the regular June
meeting.
Mrs. Marjorie Wall and Mrs.
Betty Armstrong were the ladies in
charge.
Montgomery Bus Lines took the
bus load to St. Thomas to the Dave
Hoy Ragtime Revue held in the
Good Time Music Hall. Everyone
enjoyed the noon meal and the
three-hour show following. On the
way home, they visited Masonville
Mall in London where they had
time for shopping and supper.
Attending were Mr. and Mrs.
Dave Gibb, Mrs. Agnes Farrier,
Mrs. Betty Armstrong, Mrs. Norma
Rintoul; Mrs. Brenda Day, Mrs. Jean
Puss; .and'Mrs. W Elliott.
