HOWBERRY HORSEMEN'
The fifth meeting of the Howber-
ry Horsemen 4-H Club was held at
the home of the leader, Rod Van
Engen.
First, we read about the centre of
balance on a horse. Then we had to
write which saddle a person would
buy for three ways of riding.
We had to write in the parts of an
English and Western saddle. We
read how to saddle and unsaddle a
horse. We also learned how to fit a
saddle and learned about tack care.
Home activity was assigned
before Mr. Van Engen served lunch.
