In answer to a question from
Councillor Bill McGrath, Mr. Kopas
said"' he was confident the initi
capital cost could be raised in e
community. "The spectre of rai in
$25,000 doesn't intimidate me one
bit," he claimed,
"The thing that scares a lot of
people," saki Mr. McGrath, 'his the
response from our neighboring
municipalities who see no need (for
such a service)."
"Perhaps they aren't aware that
this service is available for people
other than those in wheelchairs,"
replied Mr. Kopas, adding that peo-
ple with ailments such as heart
nclitionsy,, asthma or even al
cappedyounger people may use
the service as well,
H.e;suggested a two year contract
as one way the town couldensure
that it is not tied in for a long pen
od should the service become too
costly.
