celebrates 125 years
Whitechurch --Chalmers Presby-
terian Church held its 125th
anniversary at special services held
Sunday, May 21, at 11 a.m. and 8
p.m. Rev. Lloyd Murdock of St.
John's Presbyterian Church, Grims-
by, a former student minister at
Whitechurch, was guest speaker.
At the morning service, Steven
Rintou1 turned on a lovely brass
lamp for the organ, a- gift in memo-
ry of his late grandfather, William
Rintoul. Neil Rintoul asked the con-
gregation to receive the memorial
and dedicate it to the glory of God.
This was given to the church by
Mrs. William Rintoul and her fami-
ly
Mr. Murdock's sermon in the
morning was entitled "Joy of Life".
The choir sang "The Old -Fashioned
Meeting" and "Jesus Is .Always
There". Rev. John Neilson sang
"'Only Shadaittie and "At The
of the Road”.
In the evening, special guests;
were The King's Messengers from
the Elmira area ' who sang several
selections. They were enjoyed b•,
all. The sermon in the eveiung was
"Bread for the Hungry.
A crowd of nearly 300 attended
the noon luncheon in the hall fol-
lowing the morning service.

Fifteen tables
at final euchre
BELGRAVE Fifteen tables were
in play Wednesday, May 24, in the
WI Hall following a potluck supper
which started at 6:30.
Winners for euchre were: high,
Mrs. Agnes Gaunt and George
Inglis; low, Mrs. George Drehmann
and Lloyd Appleby. Mrs. Nancy
Carter and James R. Coultes had
the most lone hands and traveling
prizes went to:Mrs. Clarence Hanna
and Mrs. Olive Bolt (playing as a
man).
This is the final euchre party
until the fall, Thanks to everyone
and Belgrave residents hope to see
their card -playing friends back in
the fall.

Couple lives near Wingham
�after.marriageceremony
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Russell groom's niece, Meaghan Campbell
Campbell are residing at RR 2, of Wingham, was flower girl.
Wingham following a pretty spring
marriage ceremony in Wingham's
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic
Church. Mrs. Campbell, the former
Susanne Marie Fischer, is the
daughter of Art and Eileen Fischer,
RR 2, Wingham. Her groom is a son
of Hugh and Mary Campbell of
Bluevale.
The church was bathed in soft
candlelight for the five o'clock cere-
mony on Saturday, May 6. Rev. Stan
Soltysik officiated, in an altar set-
ting of white lilies and -peach roses,
accented with baby's breath. White
candles glowed from decorative
candelabra on each side. Cora
Robertson was organist throughout
the double -ring ceremony and
Carol Nicholson was soloist. Her
selections were "The Wedding"
(La Novia) and "The Gift of Love".
The bride was given in marriage
by her father and for her special
day, chose a floor -length 'gown
styled with scalloped V neckline,
beaded, sequined bodice and long
leg -o' -mutton sleeves. The gathered
skirt fell into a cathedral train and
she carried a bouquet of peach
roses and white lilies, with touches
of baby's breath, pearls and lace
and sinall white and mint green
flowers,.
The peach theme continued as
the bridal attendants entered the
ht*.. wearing :cocktail -length
of peach taffeta, with peach
ossovera at the front bodices
lack flounces. The attendants
peach floral and pearl hair -
and carried baskets of flow
filar to those in the bridal
Intron of honor was a friend of
the'tde, Karen Carter of Wingham
and bridesmaids were Tracey
Nicholson of Bluevale, sister of the

Kevin Carter of Bluevale . was
best 'man at his friend's wedding
and ushers were Glenn Campbell of
Wingham, the groom's brother and
Ken Thompson of Bluevale, friend
of the groom.
Out-of-town guests from Amher-
stburg, Walkerton, Peterborough,
Kitchener, Guelph, Brantford, Strat-
ford, Welland, Listowel, Mildmay,
Wingham and area attended the
reception in the Delmore Communi-
ty Centre, tastefully decorated with
white and peach streamers and
bells: Honored guests were the
bride's grandparents, Mrs. Gregory
Fischer and Norman Weppler and
the groom's grandmother, Mrs.
Annie Campbell.
The guests were receivedby the
bride's mother who wore a two-
piece cocktail -length off-white
ensemble with navy accessories
and corsage. She. was assisted by
the groom's mother who chose a
dusty rose cocktail -length dress
with pink corsage.
The bride and groom honey-
mooned at Niagara Falls. The bride,
a graduate of Conestoga College, is
employed by Goodall and Schenk.
The groom is a graduate of Fan-
shawe College and works at Royal
Homes.
Club members
judge sheep
BELGRAV E --The second meet-
ing of the Sheep Club was held at
the home of Cindy and Kevin
Campschroer. Members began by
judging a class of sheep, then they
judged a class of pigs. Following
the judging, they gave reasons for
their decisions.
The meeting was entitled "Pro-
vidin ; Bed and Breakfast" and it
was ax ut the house, pens and feed
