cellent efforts as they competed
against the top athletes of Western
Ontario.

Single -round, 30 -point games
were played last Thursday evening
at the Wingham Sportsmen's Club,
Ivan Gardner and Norm Elliott
topped the scoring with four wins
and a plus of 25, In second spot
were Harold Carter and Len Smith,
three wins and a plus of 50.
Ivan Rivett and Lorne Hamilton
were close behind with three wins
and a plus of 45, while Leon Russell

and Elmer McFarlan were fourth,
two wins and a plus of 83.
Alex Boa and Bill Tiffin' were
fifth, two wins and a plus of 66 and
Syd Lawson and Mason Robinson
rounded out the scoring in sixth at
one win and a plus of 83.
The next horseshoe tournament
at the club is this Saturday, May 27,
starting at 1 p.m.
