For the third consecutive year, Madill defeated 11 other high schools in the district to win the overall Huron -Perth champin�p. The Madill pole vaulters, under Coach Bob Campbell, once again made a clean sweep of the pole vault pit with Mike MacKay and Rob A,nderson_p�lacing .first and sec- ond in the Midget; Jamie Johnston winning the junior and Bevin Flett and Cardy winning first and sec- ond as Seniors. For the individual champi- onships, Paul Sakasov won the Midget boys' title, Harkness was runner-up m the Midget girls' and Bailie was'runner-up in the Senior boys. Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the top three finishers in each even go on to the WOSSA meet held at the University of Western Ontario at London..
