or homely, someone will love then -t.
The costumes range from very elab-

the commentary, it brought back
memories of their childhood dolls.
Some of the dolls are more than
100 years old and valuable and are
very beautiful in their original peri-
od costumes. There are also modern
dolls which children enjoy. It's
amazing how dolls relate to the his-
tory and customs of each country
represented.
The ladies thanked Eileen for her
hospitality and interesting story of
the dolls.
Returning to the church, Mrs.
Phyllis McMichael chaired the
April meeting and Eileen read min-
utes of the last meeting and gave
the treasurer's report prepared by
Mrs. Sandra Edgar. The United
Church spring bale will be packed
May 11; donations may be lett at
the church May 9 and 10. A
Thankoffering meeting will be held
in May, with a guest to speak on
Zaire.
The roll call, "My favorite child-
hood toy or pastime", proved most
interesting as all shared childhood
memories. Phyllis read a story,
"Litany for a Church Luncheon",
The offering was received and
Phyllis closed with a reading. The
mystery box was won by Mrs.
Cindy Hutchinson.
Lunch was a happy event. Each
member brought a box lunch and
names were drawn for the boxes.
The mystery lunches were a real
delight, with much chatter between
bites and sips of tea. It was the end
of a pleasant evening.
