Kindergarten
The Kindergarten B class has
been quite busy. The class made
delicious pancakes to try out differ-
ent types of maple syrup.
Nursery rhymes have been quite
interesting and fun, the class
agrees. Their favorites were "Ba -Ba
Blacksheep", "Old Mother Hub-
bard" and "Little Bo Peep".
For crafts, the class made Hump-
ty Dumpties and painted pictures
for the school fair in September.
The class also has been putting
together puzzles.

GRADE 2
The Grade 2 class has been very
busy. They have had lots of visitors.
Mrs. Graham helped them to do
some weaving. Mrs. Gross has been
helping them learn about rabbits
and Beatrix Potter.
Last Thursday, they had visitors
tell them about how to take care of

their teeth and they saw a video-
tape. To help their teeth and health,
they checked to see how much food
from each of the four food groups
they had for lunch in the past two
weeks,,
They have enjoyed using the
gym equipment during the last few
weeks. For a class excursion, they
are going to the London Regional
Children's Museum. ' hope they
have a good time.

GRADE 4
Grade 4 has been watching histo-
ry of the sandwich plays. The plays
were all different, but based upon
the same thing. Soon we will be
working with, chocolate. We already
have mailed to various chocolate
factories.
We are going to have lots of fun
and learn a lot too.

GRADE 6
We are studying Pierre Renoir, an
artist. In gym, we are doing gym-
nastics and also getting tested. In
science, we are studying the solar
system. -
In social studies, we are doing
projects on European countries. It is
fun!
Ms. Thorpe is monitoring our
class behavior with a chart. If we
receive five good days we will be
going on a class trip in June. We
hope to go to the science centre in
Toronto. We are running a bi-
monthlrmusic contest. Andrew
Cull, who had a total of 376 points
for March and April, has won a
hand -made puppet.
GRADE 7-8
On Saturday, April 15, we made
pizzas. We made them for our bus
trip to Toronto. Half of the class is
workinron a play called "The
Merchant of Venice". A few of the
students have chosen to do a sci-
ence fair project. They were judged
this week.
Some students in Grade 7-8
dressed up for an Academy Awards
day. We have been doing gymnas-
tics in gym class. We made silhou-
ettes of ourselves in art class.
In Quest, we are working on
stamping out killer statements.
We have started recycling paper
in our class to help the environ-
ment. We are watching the movie
"Amadeus" in music class. We had
a visit from a dental hyienist last
week.
