John Neilson was guest speaker. He spoke of the work done by the Women's Missionary Society in the western provinces. He served as superintendent of missions in Saskatchewan for six years prior to his settling in this area. President Kathy Armstrong con- ducted the business, following which the committee served lunch and a time of fellowship was enjoyed. As a mission project, a shower was held for Friendship House in Goderich, a home for abused women and children. A large num- ber of useful and varied gifts was gathered to be sent to Friendship House. Wingham couple is married for 57 years Mr. and Mrs, Gordon Francis of Wingham celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 23, with friends and family. An enjoyable time was had by all.
