"We Are So Blessed" was sung
by Mary Lee to open the Thankof-
fering meeting of the Goforth Aux-
iliary at St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church on Tuesday evening,' April
18, The theme ofisaying thank -you
to God for His, goodness was con-
tinued in the worship service which
followed. Mrs. Lee contributed a
second solo, "My Tribute", and an
instrumental number by Heather
Campbell and Linda Versteeg,
accompanied by Lo raine Clugston,

Rev. John Neilson was guest
speaker. He spoke of the work done
by the Women's Missionary Society
in the western provinces. He served
as superintendent of missions in
Saskatchewan for six years prior to
his settling in this area.
President Kathy Armstrong con-
ducted the business, following
which the committee served lunch
and a time of fellowship was
enjoyed.
As a mission project, a shower
was held for Friendship House in
Goderich, a home for abused
women and children. A large num-
ber of useful and varied gifts was
gathered to be sent to Friendship
House.
Wingham couple
is married
for 57 years
Mr. and Mrs, Gordon Francis of
Wingham celebrated their 57th
wedding anniversary Sunday, April
23, with friends and family. An
enjoyable time was had by all.

plus of 90. Robert Fleischauer and
Don Kieswetter, both of Gadshill,
were eighth with three wins and a
plus of 82.
Rounding out the 'A' side scoring
were Wayne Woods of Chesley and
Clayton Martz of Kitchener, two
wins and a plus of 153.
On the 'B' side, 50 -point games
were played. Scott Woods of-ClIes-
ley and Eugene Kuntz, -Walkerton,
led the way with five wins.
They were followed by Doug
Marshall, Weston and Fred Wick -
en's, 'Kitchener, three wins and a
plus of 87. Arden Edmonson,
