Belgrave Atoms end
successful season
The Belgrave Atom team ended
its 1988-89 season at a recent tour-
nament.
Belgrave played Huron Park first
with that team getting on the score-
board early in the second period.
However, with just 20 seconds
remaining in the middle frame,
Aaron Coultes and Corey Moran
tied it up.
In the third frame, Brent Robin-
son and Moran gave Belgrave the
lead. The team's solid play kept the
score at 2-1 for the remainder of the
game, thus putting Belgrave into
the 'A' side of the tournament and
pitted against Hensall.
Because Hensall has been num-
ber -one all year, the boys knew it
would be a hard match -up. Hensall
got on the scoreboard first before
Robinson tied things up.
It was a very exciting match and

in the game, Hensall took the lead,
winning 2-1.
This ended the hockey season for
another year. The team recorded
more wins and than losses. Remain-
ing team members are Chris Piluke,
Trevor Beck, Brian Marks, Eugene
Fenton, Collin Campbell, Andrew
Potter, Jim Piluke, Wayne Fenton
and David McBurney.
In addition to the boys' hard
work, the successful season can be
attributed to: Bob Gordon, coach;
Brain Potter, manager and trainers
Arnold Spivey, Doug Fenton and
Murray Marks.
The team also traveled to Listow-
el recently, taking on the Whites in
exhibition play. Belgrave had
downed the Listowel team earlier
this year, but this time came up
short.
Listowel later took the lead and
