We are holding a potluck dinner on Wednesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. Please note the change in location the dinner will be held at the Wingham United Church, rather than the Armouries building. We hope to see all our volunteers there for a special performance by "The Stewed Prunes". The Sacred Heart School choir was here recently. The seniors enjoy keeping up with the musical inter- ests of the young people. After the presentation, the seniors and students joined togeth- er for an Easter egg hunt. Congrat- ulations, Nicole, on winning the Easter bunny. We thank the entire choir for taking time out from school to visit with us. Mary deBoer, a public health nurse with the Huron County Health Unit, visited last week to talk about the Alzheimer's support group. We appreciate the time that professionals from other agencies take to explain their services and programs to us. We had a very enjoyable time bowling at the Lucknow lanes recently. There were a lot of smiling faces following the games. This Tuesday and Wednesday, we will, be working on ceramics and Thursday we will be attending seniors' day at the Delmore Maple Syrup Festival. Everyone is asked to dress warmly and eat a light breakfast so we can fill up on those delicious pancakes and sausage. The Thursday program for April 13 will be cancelled to allow hospi- tal auxiliary volunteers to set up for the spring rummage sale. The next foot clinics are sched- uled for April 6 and April 26. Please note the change to April 6 from April 13. Please call 3574440 or 3574445 for an. appointment. Just a reminder to volunteers of the fire and emergency ,procedures workshop at the fire hall on April 10 at 1:30 p.m. Mark April 20 on your calendar. The day centre is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an open house •that begins at 1 p.m. Every- one is invited to attend, Our special guest speaker is Dr. Anne Martin - Matthews, director of the gerentolo- gy research centre at the University of Guelph. It will be a great after- noon, a reunion for many. New Christian men's group enjoys interesting videotape The fourth meeting of the Boys° Night Out group was held last Tuesday evening at the Wingham United Church. Over 60 men gathered for fun and Christian fellowship. The meet- ing was opened by Scott Pettigrew, who led the group in gospel songs. Don Vair accompanied the singing at the piano. The main focus of the meeting was a videotape presentation by Dr. James Dobson on "What Wives Wished Their Husbands Knew About Women". Insight was given into how men can be more sensitive to the needs of their wives. There were lots of laughs for a live presentation of "The Newly- wed Game". All four audience con- testants were definitely not newly- weds. Behind the smiles you had to wonder — How well do we really know our spouses? Christian literature store owner Bob Peckham gave the group some food for thought with respect to the value of Christian literature and music. Many men enjoyed brows- ing through a variety of books and tapes. Doug Kuyvenhoven made a brief presentation on the organization of a men's Bible study group in the area. Refreshments and fellowship were enjoyed at the end of the pro- gram. Organizers Dave Martin, Mr. Pettigrew and Terry Walker are to be congratulated on their efforts in planning a very worthwhile evening. The June meeting is tentatively planned to be a barbecue at the Wawanosh Conservation Area. Canoe enthusiasts may even be able to canoe. Look for further details in late May. vviimwri LIFE MEMBER — For her long-term contribution to the Wing - ham Curling Club, Ethel Gerrie is presented with a plaque denot- ing her lifetime membership by curling club member Ann Goodall.
