V.I.P. PROGRAM—Grade 6 Wingham Public School and Sacred Heart School students joined
recently for a presentation by Ross Hallan of the Bluewater Centre at Goderich. The presentation was
part of the students` "Values, Influences and Peers" unit.
I The Belgrave Novice team
played in the Palmerston House
League Tournament earlier this
month.
In its first meeting at the tourna-
ment,,

The Belgrave storing was evenly
divided with five different players
scoring — Wayne Fenton, Jeremy
Campbell Lae Lockridge, Vaughn
Vincent and David McBurney. ' In
fact, McBurney's marker was a
shorthanded one in the third peri-
od.
Drawing assists for Belgrave
were Ryan Cook with two and
Campbell, Jennifer Black, Fenton,
Jason Curtis and David Piluke.
Belgrave goalie Tom Pfeiffer was
busy in net when the team met
Clinton in its second game at the
tourney. Clinton downed Belgrave
7-3.
Goal scorers for Belgrave were
Fenton, Black and Cook. McBurney
added an assist.
In a separate match early this
month, Belgrave defeated Blyth by
an 8-5 count.
Cook had the hat trick for Bel -
grave, while Black added two. Sin-
gle goals were scored by Fenton,
Curtis and Campbell. Fenton had
three assists, Vincent and Black,
two and single assists were record-
ed by Lockridge, Pfeiffer, Curtis
and Campbell.

single of 159 and the high louble of

JUNIOR BANTAMS
The Peaches lead the .playoffs
with 1,973 pinfall points. They are
followed by the Grapes, 1,865, the
Berries, 1,680, the Plums, 1,398, the
Apples, 1,181 and the Pears, 1,06.1.
Mandi McClory had the girls'
high single of 209 and the high
double of 350, while Jeremy Hickey
had the high single of 203 for the
boys and the high double of 400.
JUNIORS
The Gutter Balls lead the league
with 2,588 pinfall points, followed
by the Devils, 1,790, the Mega Pow-
ers,1,726 and the Floyds, 1,716.
Dana Mathers had the girls' high
single of 224. and the high triple of
533. Shane Pegg rolled the boys'
high single of 239 and the high
triple of 612 was rolled by Jim Hills.
Poor weather
fails to deter: s
Rainbow Club
Inclement weather failed to deter
a good number of ladies from
attending the March meeting of the
Mary Hastings Rainbow Club.
The meeting was hosted by Flora
Beaton, Lou Breckenridge and
Mary Campbell.
The president, Marjorie Wall,
presided for the business portion of
the meeting after which a few
games of euchre were played.
Those taking home prizes were
Millie Welsh, Eva Carr, Cindy Clark
and Marjorie Wall.
The monthly draw prize was
won by Mrs. Carr and birthday
wishes were extended to Vera
Marsh, Alma Jardine and Pearl
Shiell. Irlma Casemore was the
lucky one to receive the novelty
prize.
Refreshments were served and a
social time enjoyed. The next meet-
ing will be Wednesday, April 5, at 2
p.m. Members are asked to come
prepared for the Silent Auction to
be held that day.
OFA manager
at Huron meeting
The research manager of the
Ontario Federation of Agriculture
will be m Clinton next week.
Cecil Bradley will be at the Cen-
tral Huron Secondary School on
Wednesday, April to discuss inter-
national trade, the GATT and other
issues.
Huron Federation of Agriculture
members will be meeting with
him, and an invitation to attend has
been extended to all those interest-
ed in these timely topics.
The meeting gets under way at
8:15 p.m.
