of Mrs. Keith
Members of two area families and
many area friends were shocked and
saddened by the sudden death of
Mrs. Keith J. Elston of RR 4,
Wingham, on Saturday, Feb. 25, at
Wingham and District Hospital.
Mrs. Elston was 31 years of age.
' The former Barbara Grace
Farrish, she was born ifict. 17, 1957,
in Goderich. Her parents are Grant
Farrish and the former Lois Feagan
and they presently reside in
Lucknow. Barbara was a public
schdol teacher at Walton Public
School, and was an active member of
Knox Presbyterian Church,
Bluevale.
Barbara's passing has left a void
in many lives. Those who miss her
most are her husband, Keith, whom
she married on Aug. 7, 1982, in

A native of West Wawanosh
Township and former resident of St.
Helens, John Elmer Woods died at
Wingham and District Hospital on
Sunday, Feb. 19. He was 90 years of
age.
Elmer Woods was born Dec. 30,
1898, a son of the late William Woods
and Isabella Barbour, He farmed in
the St. Helens area all his adult life
and had resided at Brookhaven
Nursing Home in recent months.
Mr. Woods is survived by several
nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by two brothers,
Arnold and Harry and three sisters,
Etta, Emma and Mary.
Complete funeral service was held
Thursday, Feb. 23, at the MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral Home,
Lucknow, conducted by Rev. R:
Grant of the United Church. Final
resting place will be Greenhill
Cemetery, Lucknow.
Pallbearers were Wayne Martin,
Bob Woods, John Martin, Ken
Barbour, Allan Barbour and
Crawford McNeil. Flower bearers
were Dan Martin and Roy Peterson.
Is

parents-in-law, Bill and Isabel
Elston of RR 5, Brussels and her
sister and brother-in-law, Janet and
Livio Versolatto of Dorchester.
Friends paid their respects to the
family on Monday afternoon and
evening at The McBurney Funeral
Home, Wingham. Funeral service
was conducted at two o'clock on
Tuesday at St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, Wingham, by
her Minister, Rev. Larry Welch.
Pallbearers were Bill Deans, John
Leitch, Ron McKague, Murray
McKague, Jim McBurney and Doug
McBurney. Floral tributes were
carried by two nieces, Jeannine and
Carolyn Elston.
Barbara Elston's final resting
place will be Wingham Cemetery,

of RR 1, Wingham, joyfully an-
nounce the birth of their son, Mark
Walter, on Feb. 20 at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London. The new arrival
tipped the scales at eight pounds and
is a brother for Greg and Lindsay.

Betty Whitney, Milverton.

baby girl, Ebony Anne, Feb. 25 at
Penticton, B.C., weighing eight
