The F. E. Madill Mustangs appear
to have rebounded well from t
defeat they suffered two weeks go
in their tournament.
Last Friday, their regular -s on
play continued with a game against
Seaforth and, as expected, Madill
skated to an easy M0 victory. •
The Mustangs directed 41 shots
toward the Seaforth net during the
contest. Of these, about half were
excellent scoring opportunities and
this doesn't include several glorious
chances where Madill snipers fired
the puck wide.
Some of F. E.'s big guns who had
been relatively quiet in the past few
games roared to life agt first
Seaforth. Jason Kraemer exploded
for four goals and two assists, while
Ken McDonald chipped in with two
goals andone assist.
One of McDonald's goals came off
a shot that sailed ober the Seaforth
net, rebounded off the glass, struck
the goaltender as he turned around
and then fell across the goal line.
His other came on a shorthanded,
breakaway effort.
Terry Baer also played a mar-
vellous game, netting a hat trick and
two assists.
The other Mustang scoresere
credited to Dave McKee with4two
and Jeff McClory with one. Jason
Bloemberg, Craig King and John
Greig each added a pair of assists to
the Madill cause.
Goaltender Todd Rice played well
when he had to, especially in the
third period, to garner his first shut-
out of the year.
The Mustangs have two games
remaining m the regular season and
both are in Wingham. They host
Seaforth and then take on Clinton in
what should be a battle for first
place in the last match of the season.
Home ice should help as . Madill
prepare fpr the playoffs.
