Seaforth went on the Scoresheet
with just 13 seconds elapsed in the
first, periOd.- They went up by two
goals after five minutes. '
Murray MacLeod got Wingham's
only marker of flip game when he
tucked in a puck sitting on the
Seaforth goalline, assisted by J.
Lane and M. Poulin.
The second period was a repeat of
the first _with Sea:gill! Al. over
However, they only
scored once and Rob Johnston
played extremely well in net and the
defense kept the Seaforth shooters
away from the net.
The lads got several long-range
shots, but nothing of the dangerous
sort. The Seaforth goaltender was
giving very long rebounds, but the
lads could not get near enough to the
puck for second and third shots,
After two periods of play, the scor-)
was 3-1 for Seaforth.
Though the Legion lads played
with more spark and determination,
the third period was owned by
Seaforth, which scored four
unanswered goals and walked away
with the game by a count of 7-1 and
the series, two games to one.
Lane and Brett Sangster worked
bard, checking and carrying the
puckinto the Seaforth zone.

G. T. Welch once again laid the
body on heavy, many times
resembling a steam roller as he
would take two and three Seaforth
players at a time. He also worked
hard at clearing the Wingham
defensivegzone with good crisp

The lads skated hard and their
work ethic was god, lint it did not

The Legion. PeeWees did not fare
as well in game two of their best -of -
three series with Seaforth, losing 4-2.
Seaforthdominated play as it did
in game one, but ,the lads could not

Belgrave Atoms :
win one and lose
Last Saturday morning found the
Brussels Atoms at the Belgrave
arena for a hockey match.
A good game resulted with Bel=
grave victorious .2-1. Chris Piluke a
and Brent Robinson got one goal
apiece and Jene Thompson scored
one for Brussels.
Due to the fine goaltending of
Belgrave's Brian Marks the final
count was 2-1.
Last. Saturday evening, the boys
were back at it against ehntonyThe,
game was a close one, but itelgrave
just didn't have enough of the right
moves.
Robinson scored twice for Bel -
grave, but it was not enough in -the
losing cause. Clinton came on strong
to score three goals.
Thanks to Piluke's goaltending,
the final score was 3-2 for the Clinton
lads, ending not a bad weekendlor
the Belgrave Atoms.
