Clinton prevailed 6-5 in this close
match. on a &oal by Jeff Jewitt with
31 seconds 1 t to play in regulation

In this seeLw battle, played 4th
Wingham, Georgian Bay led 2-1, 3-2
and 4-3 before Clinton scored twice
midway through the third.
However, Georgian Bay rallied to
tie the game, setting the stage for
Jewitt's dramatic winning goal.
Jewitt actually scored twit for
Clinton, as did Mike Radford, with
singles going to Jamie Gibbins and
Larry flunking.
Derek Hammond and Garry Shaw
each notched a pair for Georgian
Bay with Warren Wilcox tallying
their other goal.
Sarnia 6, Owen Sound 3
Another 6-3 score enabled Sarnia
to tke a victory over Owen Sound in
Blyth.
Trailing 4-1 after one period, Owen
Sound simply couldn't overcome
3arnia's big, early lead. Sarnia's
guns were Mike Mara with two and
Karman Adams, Tim Loa, Errol
Nhite and Jamie Stewart with one
ipiece.

The Semi -Finals
WDSS 5, WSH 4
The battle of the Walkerton teams
urned out to be a battle indeed as
WDSS narrowly clipped Sacred
Heart 5-4,
WDSS scored the only goal of the
first period: then both teams
exploded for three goals each in the
second frame.
Sacred Heart evened the score
early in the third, but WDM's Grant
tallied the winner, unassisted, with
91 seconds left in the game. The
other WDSS goals were produced by
Jeff Oestreicher with two, Sean
Martin andCorey Colhoun.
Sacred Heart answered with goals
by Twolan, Glen Ditner, Mike
Donnelly and Jamie Kueneman.
WDSS advanced to the consolation
finaL
Georgian Bay 4, Owen Sound 2
Trailing 2-1 early in the first
period, Georgian Bay gathered
themselves together and tallied
three straight times to earn a 4-2
victory over Owen Sound and a place
in the consolation final alongside
WDSS.
Hammond collected the hat trick
for the Bay, but it was Desjardine
who notched the winning goal. Owen
Sound's goals came24 seconds apart
in the first frame from Tim Cox and
Kevin Whalen,
Madill 5, Elmira 3
Madill won its second straight 5,a
game, this victory sending them into
the championship final. Cayley was
Madill's leader with a pair of goals,
while DeJong and Steve Michie
eached added a pair of assists.
Other Madill scorers were
Whitfield, flenhoeffer and Jason
Kraemer. Madill had built a 5-1 lead
in the third, with Elmira's goal

Consolation Final
Georgian Bay 6, WDSS 4:
The consolation final was, a wild,
offensive show with both teams
taking the lead during the game.
Two early goals bythe Bay put
WDSS behind from the start, but
midway through the second frame,
they had the lead at 3-2. ,
Going -into the third tied at three,

WDSS again took the lead; but' far
the last time. Three straight
Georgian Bay markers, including an
empty net goal, gave them the 6-4
victory and the consolation
championships.
Georgian Bay marksmen included
Trevor Milne with two goals, one of
which proved to be the game winner,
Hammond, Shaw, Sid Perron and
Chris Davis
