Comrades Duncan aiid Louise Sangster, Comrades Tom and Helen Newton, Comrade Leonard San- derson and Comrade Tom Inglis of Branch 307 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Howick, attended a seminar last Saturday and Sunday at the Goderich Legion Hall. A total of 21 Fordwich Girl Guides and their leaders were given a tour of the fire hall at Gorrie recently, Jim Schefter and Norman Watson provided the interesting talk on the hall, about how the firemen are called out and the trucks. The girls were able to ask many questions. The Brownies and Guides will hold their annual Thinking Day on Feb. 21 in the Fordwich Hall. Trinity Church hears reports. at annual- meeting FORDWICH — The annual vestry meeting of Trinity Anglican Church was held Wednesday night, Jan. 25, beginning with a potluck dinner. Rev. Brenda Clark opened the busi- ness meeting with prayer. Mrs. Alma Hargrave was re .t- ed vestry clerk. Reports showed that 1988 .had been a very successful year. A proposed budget for 1989 was accepted. Elected to the board for 1989 were: rector's warden, Peter Harrold; deputy warden, Jack Douglas; people's warden, Millie Nixon; deputy warden, Velma Sothern; board of management, Doug Bunker, Willa Douglas, Elva Foster, Brenda Bunker, Hector Browne, Jean Sothern, Morley Brears, Emerson Ferguson, Joan Rowley, Mark Erunarski, Brian Doubleday, Eva Ferguson, Dave Dinsmore, Ethna Foster, Edith Ebbesen and Lisa Hargrave; lay delegate to Synod, Donna King; substitute, Lynn Bunker; parish paymaster, Donna King; representative to Bible Society, Jean Sothern; treasurer, Lynn Bunker; church auditors, Willa Douglas and Dave Dinsmore; chairperson of sidesmen, Emerson Ferguson. Several items of business were discussed, bringing the evening to a close, with all joining in repeating the grace.
