Bumstead of William Street, died Thursday, Jan. 26, in Wingham and District Hospital. He was in his 90th year. Mr. Bumstead was born Sept. 4, 1899, in St. Vincent Township, Grey County. His parents were the late Peter Bumstead and Almira Baker. He attended SS No. 16, St. Vincent, and graduated from Northern Busi- ness College, Owen Sound. He farmed in St. Vincent Township until 1942 when he moved to Belmore and purchased the feed mill there when he was forced to leave his home farm, which was one of many taken over by the army to become the Meaford Tank Range. He operated the Belmore mill until 1946 when he moved to Wingham and operated the feed mill here until 1968 when he re- tired. He was also a farm implement dealer and grain dealer. Mr. Bumstead, a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, was predeceased ly his wife, the former Ellen Patterson, in 1972. He was the dear _father of Allan and Gladys Bumstead of Wingham, grandfather of Jeff and. Mary Bumstead of Oak- ville and Gary Bumstead of Wing- ham. ingham. He was predeceased by one son, Peter, in 1938; two brothers, Joe and Elmer Bumstead, formerly of Vancouver and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Rushton, formerly of Niagara Falls. Complete funeral service was held at two o'clock on Saturday at The McBurney Funeral Home, Rev. John P. Vaudry officiating. Final resting place will be Wingham Cemetery. Native of Carrick dies at the age of 1.03 A. native of Carrick Township and former resident of Frances Street, Wingham, Mrs. Margaret Weir of St. Raphael's Nursing Home, Kit- chener, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, at her home, one day after her 103rd birthday. Mrs. Weir was the. former Mar- garet Harper and was born in Car- rick on Jan. 28, 1:::x'6. Her parents were the late Richard Harper and Lucy Wynn. She was predeceased by her first husband, Alexander Stewart, in 1934 and her second hus- band, Thomas Weir, in 1953. Her daughter, Mrs. Larry (Mildred) Hiseler, died in 1986. DEATHS DOUBLEDEE Passed away at Palmerston and District Hospital on Monday, Jan. 30,- Mrs. Marjorie Doubledee of Wingham, in her 81st year. The former Marjorie Baker, she the beloveo wife of the late Fred L .,ubledee (1977) ; dear mother of Doris Atmore of Mississauga, Mae and John Moffat of RR 1, Wrx- eter and Irene and Everitt Bridge, RR 2, Palmerston. Also surviving are five grandchildren. She was pre- deceased by her sister, Doris Baker. /'Friends may call at The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingharm, on Tu day from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Com ete funeral service will be held Wednes- day at 1:30, Rev. J. Rea Grant offi- ciating. Spring interment will take place in Wingham Cemetery. Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy Fellowes of Oak Bay, St. Stephen's, New Brunswick; two grandchildren, Mrs. Gary (Kath- leen) Weeks and Stewart Fellowes, both of Oak Bay, St. Stephen's, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Complete funeral service was held Monday at one o'clock at The Mc- Burney Funeral Home, Wingham, conducted by Rev. John P.
