held its yearly competition recently.
Winners in the similar -pairs ice

Casemore rink
wins bonspiel
A Wingham rink skipped by Lloyd
"Casey" Casemore was the overall
winner in the annual district service
club bonspiel hosted by the
Wingham Optimist Club.
The event, held at.. 0'61Ft/wham
Golf and Curling Club on Saturday,
featured two draws.
The Wingham Lions Club's
Casemore rink, which included Bob
Ruttan,q1i11-Shortreed and Gordon
Bosman, had three wins and 52
points to capture the late draw as
well as take the trophy as overall
winner.
Runner-up in the late draw was
the Optimists' Wayne Elston rink
with two wins and 34.5 points. Other
members of the Elston rink were
Ray Cardy, Susan Cardy and Kelly
Wood.
Early draw winner was another
Optimist rink Consisting of skip
Jerry Edwards and Bruce Pewtress,
Sylvia Pewtress and Bernice
Edwards. The Edwards rink picked
up three wins and 49.5 points in the
bonspiel.
Runner-up in the early draw was a .
rink representing the Southampton
Optimist Club with two wins and 38.5
points.
Novice team
shut out 8-0
by Huron Park
TheBelgrave Novice team
journeyed to Huron Park last
Saturday and was shut out 8-0.
Ryan Cook and Luke Lockridge
each played good games for
Belgrave, but they and fellow
teammates just couldn't capitalize
on their chances.
The strong Huron Park team
downed Belgrave 8-0.
