The Town of Wingham is currently seeking applications for
the position of Public Works Superintendent/Chief Building
Official.
The successful candidate will direct a public works force of
six full time and various seasopal employees to maintain
roads, sewers, sidewalks, cemeteryand other related munici-
pal functions including responsibility for buildings and
equipment.
As well, the candidate will be required to perform all the
functions of the Chief Building Official under the Building Code.
Act and related municipal by-laws.
Proven management expertise is essential, including the
ability to communicate with the public and municipal staff.
Previous municipal experience is not essential 'but "would be
considered an asset.
Salary will be commensurate with education and training but
the midpoint of the 1988 salary grid tor this position is cur-
rently $31,800 for proven job pertortnap.
