Loss of hearing is North
America's largest, yet least recog-
nized,
physical ailment in peopleof
all ages, but particularly among the -
elderly. Most elderly people will get
glasses or take medications, but will
not be seen wearing a hearing -aid. -
This can result in isolation and
withdrawal.
Encourage family and friends who 1
have hearing loss to seek medical
attention.
