A goal by Jason Douglas with 22
seconds left in the game gave How -
ick Bantams a come -from -behind 4-4
tie with Drayton on Jan. 10.
Howick pulled goaltender Scott
Reichard in favor of an extra for-
ward when Douglas scored the
equalizer.
Drayton came out flying in the
first period and certainly took ad-
vantage of some sloppy Howick
play. Drayton scored four goals in
the first period on Dennis Wintemute
who had very little opportunity to
stop any of them. Goal scorers were:
Trevor Franklin, Chris Allison, Brad
Culp and Dwane Scheerer.
Howick replied with one goal. An-
drew Weber beat Rob Arnot cleanly
after taking a perfect pass from
Philip Livermore on a two -on -one
give and go.
Scott Reichard replaced Winte-
mute in the second period. Arnot. and
Reichard made some good saves to
keep the period scoreless.
Howick went on the attack early in
the third period and the hard work
paid off with Chris Reichard scoring
on a three-way passing play involv-
ing Livermore and Weber.
Chris Reichard's second goal with
just over two minutes left in the pe-
riod brought Howick to within one
goal. With just under a minute left in
the game, ott Aeichard was pulled
for an extr. tt'acker.
Chris Reichard and Livermore
combined to bring the puck into the
Drayton zone and a drop pass by
Livermore to Douglas on the point
resiilted in Douglas' hard slapshot
beating Arnot cleanly for the tieing
marker.
It was certainly rewarding to see
the boys have a strong third period.

from a previous defeat by Palmers-

after two period wnanswered
goals by Weber and Ryan Gallaher.
Weber's goal was a beauty unas-.
sisted effort with Rollick playing
two men short.
Gallaher scored the third Howick
goal after taking a perfect pass from
Reichard. Weber also drew air --as
sist.
The two teams traded third period
goals. Gallaher recorded'' his second
goal after taking a Darryl Johnson
pass. Chris Bell scored witti only
seconds left in the game to spoil the
shutout for Dennis. Wintemute.
