The 25 -member team is on a two-week visit to Ontario as part of an international minor hockey exchange, and was scheduled to play the pick of Wingham's Bantams Thurs- day evening at Lockridge Arena. Carl and Mary Gingerich and family spent New Year's Eve with Sandy and Bonnie Bender and family, Mrs. Cliff Marks accompanied Mr, and Mrs. Davey Marks of Brussels to Kitchener one day during the holidays to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Powell and boys. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd McGee and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Macfarlane, Jennifer and Scott of Bluevale, visited with Mr. and Mrs. John McGee and sons in London at Christmas. Gibson has returned home from Listowel Memorial Hospital and hope his health continues to improve. His daughter, Mrs, Bonnie MacDougall, Burlington, visited with him in hospital at Christmas. Helmut Worner has returned home following a visit with his parents, sister, daughters and family in Montreal. The prize winners of the Decorated Homes Contest at Christmas were Mr. and Mrs'. Senior citizens to help purchase chairs for hall WROXETER—A bright, cold day greeted the seniors as they gathered ache hall for their January pot -luck dinner and meeting. After dinner, Mrs. Eileen Hamilton presided, in the absence of Mrs. Mildred Coupland and opened the meeting with a reading entitled "What Is A Grandmother?", The treasurer' report by Mrs. Ted Smith proved successful. A donation toward the purchase of chairs for the hall was made by the Members. It was decided to postpone the euchre parties forihe winter months and resume m April and May. • - Correspondence - concerning the USCO was discussedand payment of dues _approved. The next meeting will be held Feb. 1 and all seniors are invited to come and share the friendship of the group. The meeting adjourned and cards were played to complete a pleasant day. Henderson, Lucknow. and • Winter proOtami begin at Vano$I1,i., Winter programs begin this week at Vanastra Recreation Centre in Clinton. The Centre offers ,a full range of swimming and fitness classes for youth and adults, with registration daily, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The aquatic -program offers some- thing for everyone, including Parent and Tot swims for babies up to two years, and Guppies and Parent programs for children aged 2 to 4 years. Kindergymswim for children aged three to five years offers social development, motor skill develop- ment and enjoyment in a water environment. There are "learn to swim"programs for all ages, youths, teens and adults, as well as all levels of swimming skills being offered. "Fitness fOr fun" floor exercise, a fun way to exercise to music, is planned Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30 p.m. Cool down, and relax afterwards in our pool from 8.30 to 9 p.m. The Arthritic Water Exercise program continues, with shallow - end exercises stressing general mobility in the comfort of warm watervIhis: program' benefierakor people with arthritisor injury aches and pains, begins this Friday tram 11.30 am. to 12 noon. Recreation Swims are offered daily as follows: Adults Only Swim, Monday to Wednesday, and Friday, 12 noon to 1 p.m. and Wednesday, 8 to 9 p.m. Open Recreation Swim (for everyone), Monday and Tuesday from 8 to 9 p.m., Wednesday 6 to 7.30 p.m., Friday, 7 to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 4.30 p.m. Family OnlySwim, Sunday, 2 to 3 p.m. Most of these programs begin this week and continue few the next 10 weeks. Presifient Jim kelaar welcomed all mem- bers and encouraged them to give another year to the pro-life cause. Sally Campeau led the group in prayer. The "Feel the Heartbeat" Tele- thon will be broadcast again some- time in the spring. Some fund- raising projects were discussed. New member -s are always welcome. On January 28, a March for Life will be held in Ottawa. The march will end at Parliament Hill to remember the anniversary- of the striking down by the Supreme Court of Canada's abortion law. Each member of Parliament, including the Prime Minister, as well as each Supreme Court Justice will be presented with a live rose, There will be various speakers, including politician John Boudria.
