Mrs. -Sarah Anderson opened the
meeting with a poem and prayer.
Mrs. James Hunter led in the
singing of Christmas carols, with
Mrs. Glenn Coultes at the piano.
Mrs. Scott spoke of lights and the
baby Jesus, born to bring light to the
world. She followed with prayer and
the singing of a carol. Mrs.
Lawrence Taylor and Mrs. Jean
Day Centre for the Homebound hosted Christmas Pattison read scripture from St.
last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for its volunteers, as well as entertainment. Luke's Gospel, on the birth of Jesus
and the star pointing to the manger.

Evening UCW
aids crusade
BELGRAVE--The Christmas
meeting of the Evening Unit of
Belgrave UCW was held at the home
of Mrs. Ross G. Anderson Dec. 6.
The roll call was answered by
everyone's favorite carol. The group
will send the Canadian Geographic
to the hospital again next year.
During the worship service, led by
Mrs. Ross Higgins and Mrs. Leslie
Shaw, the carols "Joy to the World,"
"Hark, the HeraldAngels sing," and
"While Shepherds Watched their
Flocks by Night" were sung.
The evening unit will donate
money to help Heather McIntosh as
she joins the Campus Crusade for
Christ. during the Christmas
vacation.

Bingo
winners
BELGRAVE-Belgrave Kinsmen
held their bingo Dec. 1.
Winners of turkeys were Linda
Cameron, Jack Shiell, Wilfred
Haines, Doug Bruce, and Chester
Finnigan.
Share the Wealth winners were
Mrs. Ross G. Anderson, Brian
Machan, Clarence Hanna, Joey
Smitt, Mrs. Hazel Ritchie, Jean
Paftison, and Allan Dtmbar.

Helen Martin read a Christmas
story about a little girl who gave all
she had, just a few pennies, to get a
gift for her sister, on the first
Christmas since the sister had
passed away. Mrs, Scott concluded
with a Christmas prayer.
The meeting was followed by a
social time with some of the
residents, with tea and cookies
served by the unit.
In the spirit of Christmas
