Post Office" and Mrs. Jacques
"TheDay After Christmas".
Mrs. Allan Hyndman conducted a
Christmas contest assisted by Alvin
Mundell with his harmonica. Prizes
were awarded to Mrs. Rona
Haywood and Mrs. Faust. Mrs.
Nellie King played a Christmas
record by Guy Lombardo and many
people sang along with this famous
band. The program concluded with a
story based on the first seven verses
of the second chapter of the Gospel
of St Luke, entitled "No Room",
read by Mrs. Simmons.

Grainger. Sunday guests at the
same home were Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Grainger and family of
Baden; Mr. and Mrs. Murray
Grainger and family of Tavistock;
Mr. and Mrs. Greg Stephens and
Samantha of Plattsville; Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Williams and family,
RR 1, Listowel. All attended the
presentation in the United Church on
Sunday morning in memory of their
grandmother, Mrs. Helen Stephens.

was at Brussels Presbyterian
Church.
Melanie Sanderson, who is
attending Guelph University, is
home for the Christmas holiday with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Sanderson.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hart and baby
of RR 1, Gadshill, visited Sunday
with his grandmother, Mrs. Ethel
Dennis.
Mr. and Mrs. Wes Ball, formerly
of Elmvale, spent a couple of days
with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Haskins and
also visited other friends. They plan
to return to England before the new
Year.

GORRLE—Members of the
Women's Institute enjoyed a
delicious Christmas dinner at the
United Church on Wednesday of last
week. President Mrs. Alvin
Grainger read a poem before dinner
and after the meal, the members
journeyed to Listowel and toured the
very beautiful Kilberg Place.
The home has three floors
firnished and accoinmodates people
• who are unable to manage in their
own homes. A short meeting was
held in the activity room and an
enjoyed Christn2as cake and
shortbread provided by Mrs.
Grainger. The staff.at the home
