Mrs. MacRae and her Grade is
are getting into the Christmas spirit.
They are busy with the Christmas
concert and enjoyed the Christmas
dinner held last Wednesday.
They also are reading stories.

All classes have their doors
decorated. Miss Turner's is nicely
done. •The star student last week was
Stevie Carter. In language, they are
doing a Christmas unit. They are
studying inventions of toys. They are
deciding how Santa got his job.
In math, the students are learning
about Roman numerals. The Grade
2s are finished their study on the city
and now are learning about the
farm.
The Grade 2s and Miss Turner
wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

The Grade 2-3 class has been busy
decorating its door for the door.
decorating contest and they were
pretty lucky to get first place in their
division. They also have been busy
with Christmas activities and have
been trying to find out how they
celebrate Christmas in other parts
of the world.
The Grade as are learning to say
different Christmas words in
French. They also have been
learning map and globe skills.

Mr. Lindsay's Grade 4-5 class has
been working diligently so that they
won't have any homework during
the Christifias holidays. The class
has had a major science test so they •
don't havemany tests left.
'art,the clagslinished a two -in -
one picture where they cut two
pictures into lines and combined
them. They've decorated their door
very beautifully, even though they
didn't win the contest in their
division. In gym, the class has been--
skatdng at the -arena.

Mr. Bowyer had Mr. Spur to talk
to the students recently. Mr. Spur
works at the ministry of natural
resources. He showed them some
traps and furs. They also had Nao
come in and do caffigraphy. They
did their names and the date. They
helped prepare buns for the
Christmas dinner at school.
Also they had a visit from Jack
Kopas, a high school guidance
teacher. They made wildlife
projects.

Grade 6 is a huh -bub of activity in
preparation for Christmas. In
language arts, they are working on
big Christmas books. Each group
has written, illustrated and now are
working on publishing their book,
They hope to have these books
finished so they can read there to
their reading buddies.
The Christmas concert is fast
approaching. The students are very
busy practising their play for the
concert. Everyone hopes that you
will be able to attend on Wednesday,
Dec. 14.
The Christmas dinner was
delicious. From all the students in
Grade 6, we wish you a very safe and
happy holiday.

Last week Mr. Lisle's Grade 74
class has its French dictation and
they also are working an French
Christmas cards. They have been
studying Greek mythology too.
Their beautiful door has won first
place in the Grade 8 to 8 0.atcgory of
the Christmas door -decorating
contest
