Last Wednesday evening the
regular parade was held in the
Armouries building. For the first
lime in the squadron's history, the
cadets were grouped into three
flights. It was quite a sight to behold
as these sections of cadets per-
formed march drill routines all at
the same time.
The splitting of the squadron into
three groups was necessitated by the
unprecedented influx of many new
recruits and to fairly implement the
Air Cadet League of Canada's
promotion policy.
DCdt: -Debbie 'Saipocs was in
charge of the squadron's drill
. exercises for the evening. She also
instructed communication skills to a
class of junior cadets. On the small -
r bore firing range, CI Kevin Stewart
taught target shooting to several
new recruits, using .22 -cal. Lee-
, Enfield rifles. The remaining
recruits . were shown how to take
care of, these weapons` in a small-
arms maintenance class directed by
Sgt. David MacRae
