Wingham Optimist Novice were
on home ice when they took on
Walkerton last Thursday, but the
advantage wasn't enough; . the.

Walkerton opened the scoring at
3.25 of the first period, with a goal by
Joe Anness. Wingham goalie

out until 2.30 in the third period,

Last Wednesday night, the
Wingham Junior Tyke team
travelled to Ayton for its season
opener. Although Ayton played a
strong game, Wingham emerged
victorious by a count of 10-4.
The Wingham team members
played a good tactical game, with
Jonathon Montgornery and Zane
Davies each collecting hat. tricks.
Jacob Henderson put in a great
effort, scoring twice and adding one
assist. Jamie Chester scored once in
the second period.
Kent McPherson played an out-
standing game, leading . many
rushes which resulted .in one goal
and three assists. Garrett Skipnaiso
was credited with an assist.
Peter Dixon and Jaines -Needhan
showed great potential hi -their first
games ever. Zachary O'Krafka Was
awarded a shut -out for h►is porton of
goaltending in the game
The next hohhe -game.: for the
Juniors is Dec. 28 against.. Bt sets
at 5 '0 p.m. The senior team also
