applied to the county for a site-
specific zoning bylaw application to
permit a manufactured -home
display near Ju iville on

present site alongside the Royal
Homes factory to across from
Bridge Motors on Highway 86.

Mr. Penson says Royal Homes has

court is part of the company's plans

remaining in Turnberry Township.
History book deadline
is early in January
The deadline for those wishing to
submit family histories for
publication in the 1992 East
Wawanosh history book must do so
by Jan. 9.
A 350 -page book is being planned
for release by Christmas, 1991, to
coincide with the township's 125th
anniversary in 1992.
As of the first of this month, only
about 40 of the 350 forms delivered to
township residents had been
returned to the history book com-
mittee, says Robert Charter,
chairman of the committee. They
must be submitted by Jan. 9, or risk
tieing left out.
Clifford Coultes of RR 1, Belgrave,
will co-ordinate the project, while
Agnes McBurney will be responsible
for a section on township churches
and cemeteries. Marie Toll will do

Town council made appointments
to its ;day care board at council's
inaugural meeting last week.
Brenda Schedler has been ap-
pointed to a term ending June 30,
1969,E while Cheryl McDonald, Cathy
Rits•and Kathy Skinn have been
appointed to ternis ending June 30,
1990 Terry Walker and Esther Buck
will serve on the board until June 30,
1991.

Ministry does not �onsider ,
dump situation an emergency
Turnberry council has been told
by the environment ministry that
the situation at- the township waste -
disposal site "does not constitute an
emergency"
Earlier this fall, council appealed
to the Ontario Ministry of the
Environment for emergency ap-
proval to expand the existing site as
it is quickly nearing the end of its
useful life.
A letter from the ministry was
read at the inaugural meeting of
council. Although ministry officials
estimate the life e . , tansy, . of the

frustrated by the ministry
pronouncement: Mr. McBurney said
council was given to understand six
months ago that it would be given
approval for expansion at the site =
and has started proceedings to
expand the dump.
"We might as well wait until
August when it is an emergency,"
said the reeve.
