FORDWICH — After Rev. Don
Beck said grace, the senior citizens
and friends sat down to a bountiful
and delicious meal prepared and
served by Mrs. Gerald Kennedy and
Mrs. Bruce Kennedy. After the
tables were cleared, the business
opened with a welcome to all and a
hearty vote of thanks to the ladies
for the dinner. &Christmas carol
was sung and Happy Birthday was
sung to one member. Roll call,
"What you would really like for
Christmas", brought many in-
teresting answers.
The nominating committee
presented its report. Officers are:
past president, Clarence Carswell;
president, Helen Nickel; first vice-
president, Mrs. Roy Kennedy;
second vice-president, Mrs. Bernice
Marriner; secretary, Mrs. Elva
Cooper; assistant, Mrs. Jean
Clarkson; treasurer, Lorne Kelley;

FORDWICH — Enrollment night
for the First Brownie Pack of Ford-
,
wich and the First Fordwich Girl
Guides was held -en Tuesday night,
Dec. 6, at the Fordwich United
Church. Fourteen Brownies and 15
Guides were enrolled,. with Mrs.
Susan Cressey, District Com-
missioner, of Palmerston conduct-
ing the enrolling. Both companies
passed their singing badges.
The highlight of the evening was
the presentation to Kathy Kennedy
and Coreen Harding Of their all-
round cords for Girl Guides.
Mrs. Lillian Seifried, Public
Relations Officer of Palmerston,
was also in attendance.
Palmerston and Mrs. Nellie Sim-
mons visited Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Lyle Simmons.
•Mr. and Mrs. Chester Earl of
Atwood visited one day last week
with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sothern.
Mrs. Wally Nixon and Mrs. Glenn
McKercher visited Tuesday with the
latter's daughter and family, Mr.
and Mrs: Ron Larsen in Sarnia.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ott of
Listowel visited one day last week
with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Sothern.

attended the Sangster Christmas
gathering on Sunday at the senior
citizens' hall in Harriston.
