Fun and Fiddle Festival friends
from Miami, Manitoba, visited
several days over the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ballagh and Mr.
and Mrs. ROA McMichael and. family..
and attended the Fiddle Extrava-
ganza in Teeswater Saturday night.

Over 30 enjoy
pot -luck dinner
WROXETER — Thirty-one
members of the senior citizens'
group enjoyed a delicious potluck
dinner at the community centre. An
interesting Hallowe'en centrepiece
and a cake in the shape of a witch's
head, made by Eleanore Gibson,
were enjoyed by all.
Mrs. Mildred Coupland, president,
opened the meeting and welcomed
everyone. Mrs. Hamilton read a
poem about "Modern Grandmas"
and the minutes of the last meeting.
Ted Smith gave a very encouraging
financial report and also reported
that the new cupboard is completed.
Members are grateful to those who
did the work; it will be appreciated
for supplies.
There will be a euchre party on
Nov. 16; everyone is invited. The
next meeting will be Dec. 7 at 12:30
p.m. and will be the Christmas
party. All seniors are welcome to
come and enjoy a social time each
month.
Cards and shuffleboard were en-
joyed to complete the day.

Bernice Marriner held a surprise
birthday party for her at Palmer
ston on Saturday, Oct. 29. A 6:30
dinner was enjoyed by the im-
mediate family, also her brothers

weekend entertaining with their
dancing. .Whey _ appeared several
'tunes at each of the two shows of the
Fiddle �Extrava ih '-Teeswater
on Saturday night. On Monday
evening, they perforated. at the
Convention Centre in Hamilton for
the Ontario Mutual Insurance
Association convention. They were
accompanied by the Woods Family
and Friends of Fergus and the
program emcee was Gary Ballagh.
