Former resident is wed
in Waterloo ceremony
On Saturday, Sept. 17, at 3:30
p.m., Emmanuel United Church,
Waterloo, was the setting for a
double -ring ceremony as Janice Hill
and Darryl Lennox made their vows
to each other before Rev. Donald
Linkletter, family and friends. •
Tbe parents are Nelson
and Ethna Hill of Shelburne,
formerly of Wingham and Mrs.
Carol Lynch of London and the late
Jim Lennox.
Given in marriage by her parents,
the bride chose a floor -length gown
of white satin, featuring a scoop
neckline and full-length puffed
sleeves. The sleeves and bodice
were appliqued with sequins and
pearls. The skirt fell into a chapel
train and featured a large bow at the
back of the waistline. Her hat,
covered with white satin and
highlighted with seed pearls, held a
silk illusion waist -length veil and she
carried a bouquet of one white
orchid, pink roses, white carnations
and pink heather.

euchre at
their meeting
BLUEVALE — The regular
monthly meeting of the senior
citizens was held last Monday with
38 members in attendance.
The president, Ross Turvey, open-
ed the meeting with "0 Canada'',
accompanied by. Vera Moffat at the
piano.
After the business meeting ad-
journed, tables were set up and nMe
tables of card players enjoyed
euchre. The •following won pk12e$:

Laura Jenkins; lucky lady, Isobel
Garniss; high man, Milt Boyd; 'low
man, Jack Fischer and lucky Man,
Lloyd Griffith. ••

bouquets similar to the bride's, with
matching floral sprays in their hair.
Steve Hill of Shelburne, brother of
the bride, was best man and
ushering the guests were Jeffrey
Bailey, brother of, the groom and
Chris' Adair of Godelieh;-' friend if
the groom.
David Hill of London, cousin of the
bride, sang "Follow Me" before the
ceremony and "The Wedding Song"
during the signing of the register.
Pink andwhite streamers and
bells decorated the Woolwich
Township Community Centre in St.
Jacobs where the dinner and dance
were held. Receiving the guests was
the bride's mother who wore a royal
blue chiffon dress with matching
accessories. She was assisted by the
groom's mother who wore a rose
chiffon dress.
The bride and groom -now reside in
Waterloo. Janice is employed with
Comcare in Kitchener and Darryl is
employed at Weber Fabricating in
St. Jacobs.

Neil and Nicole of Guelph, visited
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Llynclman.
Amber, Justin and Alyssa Ruttan
of Brussels spent several days with
Come Alive Club

progressive euchre sponsored by the
Come Alive Club on Tuesday
evening in the town hall were Mrs.
Bill Hogg, Mrs. Marian Kirby, Peter
Browne and Herman Van

Margaret Dane was UNO winner.
The next regular meeting will be
held Nov. ,11 at 8 p.m. The Health
Clinic at the doctors' office is
changed from Nov. 4 to Nov. 18 from
1:30 to 3:30p.m.

The Second Wingham Brownies
held their Hallowe'en party last
Thursday. There was a great variety
of costumes. The girls iced
Hallowe'en cookies, made crafts and
played games. We all had lots of fun.
The Tweenies are all working hard
as their enrollment is coming up
soon.
