JOHN SCHENK
John Schenk a first-time can-
didate for town councillor in the
Nov. 14 municipal election in.
Wingham. Mr. Schenk has been
member of the b,oarct of gover
nors to the Wingham and District
Hospital for more than five years
and has served on _all of the
board's committees. At present
he is a member of the finance and
audit committee and the public
relations committee. Mr. Schenk
is. a past president of the Wing -
ham Curling Club and was a
member of the town's joint com-i
mittee to oppose Canadian Na-
tional's application to abandon its
rail line into Wingham. A lawyer,
he is married and the father of
three children.
ROBERT flEWNES
Robert (Bob) Hewines is seek-
ing the office of trustee for the
TOW? of Wingham on Me Han:th
County' Board of Eduction. He is

'hem and serves as the town's
zoning administrator and secre-
tary to •the planning advisory
• committee. Mr. Hewines' activi-
ties also include participation- in
the Boy Scouts and he currently
is treasurer of the Wingham Kins- -
men Club. In addition to being ac-
tive in The Salvation Army, he is
also a volunteer T-balicoach.

Wilkins has been politically active
for a number of years and has

Roy E., Bennett has been
acclaimed to the Wingham Public
Utilities Commission. Mr. Bennett
has been on the PUC, for 20
years, 18 as chairman. Retired
from CKNX Broadcasting Ltd.

president and a charter member
of the Wingham HorticultUral So-
ciety, A member of the Wingham
United Church, he was on the of
ficial board for several years. Mr.
Bennett is a former member of
the Wingham Public School
Board and served as chairman of--

ROD WRAITH ,
Rod Wraith has been returned
by acclamation to his seat On the
Wingham Public Utilities Commis-
sion. He has been a member of
the'coMinission for 19 years. Mr.
Wraith has been teaching for the
past 23 years, 21 of which have
been at F.'E. Madill Secondary
School in Wingham. He has -a
variety' of interests from elec-
tronics and computers to sailing
and psychology.
